Product description
SUPER HIGH DENSITY, HIGH DENSITY OR LOW DENSITY?

The difference between the density is related to the hardness and sturdyness of the EVA foam.

CF65 is more agile compared to CF100 making it easier to use when making round shapes.

CF100 is more sturdy, giving you much smoother results after dremeling your EVA foam.

CF200 is even more sturdy than CF100, which allows it to retain its shape extremely well and allows for a much smoother finish. This also makes CF200 more durable.

HOW TO USE:

In cosplay or costume building 10mm EVA Foam is usually chosen to make big bulky armor builds, big bulky props or shields. Because of the thickness of 10mm this EVA Foam is very sturdy on it's own, perfect when parts of your build need to be really strong or big. Check out this list of possibilities there are with EVA Foam:

  • Can easily be cut with a utility knife and with a little practice you can even cut beveled edges.
  • When using a heatgun you can manipulate EVA Foam into various shapes.
  • Glueing EVA Foam can de done with contact glue or hotglue.
  • With a Dremel you can sand and emboss various patterns and edges into your EVA Foam.
  • Want to do some next level embossing like the pattern on leaves or dinosaur skin, use a wood burning tool.
  • Need to build a thicker layer of EVA foam, just contact glue multiple layers on top of eachother.

Painting EVA Foam

After you are finished with building your EVA Foam cosplay armor piece or prop, you always need to seal and prime EVA Foam before painting it. This can be done with the heatsealing technique or by directly priming and sealing it on one go with our Flexbond, Hexflex or QuickSpray Primer. Heatsealing first is always possible, after heatsealing any of our primers can be used. After the priming is finished you can start painting your EVA Foam build with our paints.

ABOUT EVA FOAM

The letters in EVA Foam stand for Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate. EVA is one of the materials popularly known as expanded rubber or foam rubber. Besides building costumes and props EVA foam is also used as padding in equipment for various sports such as ski boots, bicycle saddles, hockey pads, boxing and mixed-martial-arts gloves and helmets, wakeboard boots, waterski boots, fishing rods and fishing-reel handles. In most cases EVA Foam is typically used as a shock absorber but in the creative industry it is used for building the most amazing armors and props.
